Who we are

This website, dreamnalot.com, and the Dreamnalot Studios brand are operated by DREAMNALOT PTY LTD (ABN 18 689 663 509) (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are a video production and visual effects studio based in Queensland, Australia.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information openly and transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What personal information we collect

We collect personal information that you choose to give us. In practice this means:

Through our contact form. Your first name, last name, email address, the service you are enquiring about, and whatever you tell us about your project.

Through direct correspondence. If you email us, call us, or contact us through a social media profile, we collect the information contained in that correspondence, including your contact details.

In the course of providing services. If you engage us, we may collect further information necessary to deliver the work — for example, the names and contact details of people at your organisation, and the details of locations, participants or contributors relevant to a production.

Automatically, when you visit the site. Standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is collected by our hosting provider as part of normal web server operation.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and we ask that you do not send it to us through this website.

Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide you with a quote or proposal;
• deliver the services you have engaged us to provide;
• communicate with you about a project that is underway;
• issue invoices and maintain our business records;
• improve the operation and content of our website; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your contact details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and if you have, you can tell us to stop at any time.

Who we disclose it to

• contractors and collaborators engaged on your project, where disclosure is necessary to deliver the work; and

Social media accounts and publishing tools

We operate accounts on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We use third-party scheduling software to publish our own content to those accounts. That software is connected only to accounts we control, and we do not use it to collect information about the people who follow or interact with us beyond the standard analytics each platform provides to every page owner. What each platform collects from you when you interact with our accounts is governed by that platform’s own privacy policy, not this one.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers we use store data outside Australia, including in the United States. By providing your personal information to us, you acknowledge that it may be stored or processed overseas by those providers. We take reasonable steps to use providers who handle personal information in a manner consistent with Australian privacy standards.

Cookies and third-party content

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to make the site work properly and to understand how it is used. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings.

Some pages embed content hosted by third parties — for example, video players. Those third parties may set their own cookies and collect their own usage information, governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
